Manuel Adorni in the Buenos Aires debate: "Freedom Advances is the only brake on Kirchnerism" and he ignored the PRO

In the first debate of candidates for Buenos Aires City legislators, Manuel Adorni , presidential spokesman and leader of La Libertad Avanza (The Freedom Advances) , stated that his party is the only one capable of stopping Kirchnerism and ignored the PRO (Pro) . During his speech, he maintained that "we have ended the pickets in the City and throughout the country" and emphasized that, after a year and a half in office, Javier Milei's administration has achieved "incredible achievements."

The debate was organized by Canal de la Ciudad and brought together the top 17 candidates from each list competing in the May 18 elections. The focus of the discussion focused on legislative proposals and the vision for the direction of the City under Jorge Macri's administration.

Adorni indirectly targeted the PRO (Progressive Party) and made it clear that his goal is to differentiate himself from the traditional opposition. "The only model that has been proven to stop Kirchnerism is us," he stated. He also emphasized that the transformation driven by the national executive branch is already being felt in the daily lives of the people of Buenos Aires.

"After 123 years, we've ended the fiscal deficit . We're eradicating inflation and eliminating thousands of jobs from politics," he stated. According to him, what has been achieved in recent months demonstrates that the economic direction is on the right track.

Regarding the pickets, Adorni was blunt. He asserted that the reduction in street protests was not due to a spontaneous phenomenon, but to firm measures. "This is not a coincidence; it's a political decision. It had to be done, and we did it," he declared. In this way, he sought to show concrete results that could be translated into votes.

In line with what Javier Milei had suggested, the candidate emphasized that structural changes are not negotiable. "We came to do what no one else dared to do. We're not going to stop now," he added.

Adorni asked for a vote of continuity to the libertarian model

The speech was clearly aligned with the presidential message. He appealed to the idea of profound change, order, and freedom. " Kirchnerism wants to return to the past. We represent the future," he said. He also marked a difference with the traditional political groups, which he accused of failing to decisively confront the underlying problems.

Finally, Adorni urged the electorate not to divide the opposition vote and to support the space that, according to him, has already demonstrated results. "We have already begun to transform the country. Let's not go back," he concluded.

With a firm and straightforward stance, the presidential spokesman made it clear that the May 18 election will be, for him, a plebiscite on the current direction: the one he and La Libertad Avanza consider the only one capable of stopping Kirchnerism .
